EdiZONE History

EdiZONE, LC was founded by Terry and Tony Pearce to continue their ten-year history of developing new products and technologies. They began their quest to improve the world's technologies in 1989 by partnering with an aerospace company (EDO Sports) to develop new carbon fiber composite sporting goods.
In EDO Sports they successfully marketed such products as carbon fiber bicycle spokes and carbon fiber golf heads and golf shafts. From there they took on various partners at different times, which necessitated dissolving and reforming as a new company each time (Genesis Composites, TekSource, now EdiZONE), but the business approach has always been the same. EdiZONE is now the home of the Pearces and their technologies. For convenience, all activities and accomplishments will be referred to as those of EdiZONE, whether those of EdiZONE or the previous companies of the Pearces. EdiZONE, LC is a developer of products and technology. Its business model is to conceive and patent unique and valuable technologies and product designs, develop them into prototype products, and then license them to a leader in the applicable marketplace. EdiZONE has capability on site to engineer and make prototypes, including a complete CNC machine shop, and equipment for injection molding, extruding, and rotational molding. This enables EdiZONE to quickly try and improve product concepts. EdiZONE's tactic is to think "outside the box", and try things most developers wouldn't even conceive.

EdiZONE continues to develop new products and technologies. While most of EdiZONE's ongoing work is confidential, the world of gels and cushioning technologies will continue to advance. Currently EdiZONE is working on a series of bed pillows, furniture cushions, toys, sporting goods, and gels which are photo-printable. EdiZONE has even developed a child's bubble blowing solution in which the bubbles last for hours. Terry has a civil engineering degree from the University of Utah. He worked in several consulting engineering positions and was an owner of Engineering Consortium prior to founding EdiZONE. Tony has a civil engineering degree from Brigham Young University and an MBA from the University of Phoenix. Tony worked for thirteen years in the aerospace business (including at Utah companies Hercules Aerospace and EDO Fiber Science) specializing in advanced materials prior to founding EdiZONE.
